Spreading a passion for the glory of God
Mission Conviction
The Bible declares that missions is a God-fueled and Christ-centered enterprise focused on spreading God’s glory to all nations. Those involved are not just volunteers—they are commissioned by Christ and see it as a great privilege to serve alongside Him.
From beginning to end, Scripture shows that God’s ultimate purpose is His own glory (Isa. 48:11). Therefore, the primary goal of missions is to make His glory known. Missing this focus is to miss the heart of missions.
The key question isn’t whether we should participate in missions or how many missionaries we support, but how we as a church can live in a way that reflects God’s passion—to proclaim His salvation and glory to the ends of the earth (Isa. 49:6).
Mission Commitment
Prayer Support
Our mission team meets regularly to pray for the global spread of the Gospel and for specific needs of our missionaries. Team members also stay in touch with our missionaries and share their updates, praises, and prayer requests with the congregation. (Eph. 6:18–19; Phil. 1:19–20)
Moral Support (Short-Term Missions and Visits)
Short-term trips give the whole congregation the opportunity to serve alongside missionaries, expand our global Gospel vision, offer practical help, and build lasting relationships. Where churchwide short-term trips are not possible, the missions team attempts to visit our missionaries in the field and learn from their situations on the ground. (Phil. 2:25-30)
Home Support (Hospitality)
We aim to form genuine relationships with missionaries, not just support a list. Hospitality may include hosting missionaries during furloughs, seminary studies, or brief visits including missions conference – welcoming and sending them off “in a manner worthy of God.” (Rom. 12:10–13; 3 John 5–8)
Financial Support (Giving)
Our church maintains a separate missions fund distinct from the general budget. Ongoing, cheerful giving enables us to support missionaries and send out teachers to equip leaders worldwide. (Phil. 4:15-16)
Missionaries
Our church is honored to support 10 missionary partners serving around the world in diverse ministries and contexts. Their work includes church planting, Bible translation, leadership in mission organizations, running schools and Bible institutes, providing medical care, distributing food, and offering technical support.
These missionaries serve in a variety of cultural and geographical settings, from remote villages to urban centers. Some have spent decades on the field and are now retired, continuing to influence missions through mentoring and prayer. Others are just beginning their journey, actively preparing and raising support to be sent out.
For privacy and security reasons, we do not post detailed information about our missionaries online. However, here’s a sample of the types of work they’re involved in:
-
Church planting in rural Uganda near the dangerous Congo border, urban Japan
-
Translating the Bible for tribes in Papua New Guinea and Venezuela
-
Leading a Bible Institute in the Philippines
-
Running medical clinics and food distribution programs in the Philippines
-
Leading an international school in Cambodia
-
Leading an organization supporting Christian leaders and church planters in dangerous, restricted regions all over the world
-
Providing IT and computer support for several mission efforts
